Last day in Paris. Last post of the trip. (I think.) So I'm rehashing my top ten experiences from the trip. Drum roll.
10) Bike ride through the French countryside and wine tasting in Burgundy. As much as I have made fun of the heat, it was a beautiful ride and the wine was spectacular, when we finally got some. I'll never do it again though, unless someone's pedaling me in an air conditioned vehicle.
9) Locks and keys and such.
8) Pride parade, Parisienne style. Crazy. Wild. Such a cool experience.
7) The Neon Trees show in Cannes. With only another 100 people in the room. And, then Darby got some inspiration from the female drummer after the show. So cool.
6) The beach in Cannes. Hot. Beautiful, blue Mediterranean. Fabulous service. Comfy beach lounger. Great books. Perfection.
5) First view of the Louvre. Took my breath away. And then the museum itself took my breath away.
4) Stumbling into the Jean Paul Gaultier fashion show. So funny and random. And it combined my two favorite things: people/celeb watching and fashion. (And a hooker!) Good fun.
3) Watching Darby take the most amazing photos of the most amazing things in the most amazing way. She thinks she's taken about 4,000 photos. We actually had to buy her another 16gb memory card!
2) Eiffel Tower at night. It was really fun to walk up the 669 steps to the second level. Even cooler to skip the three hour line because we were willing to walk those steps. It is the most beautiful sight in Paris. Without a doubt.
1) Hiking Mont Blanc and seeing a glacier in the French Alps. Totally spectacular. Totally unexpected. And, totally a once-in-a-lifetime.
And, that's all, folks.
